The Gospel of Mary Magdalene From The Nag Hammadi Library in English, J M Robinson, Harper Collins   한글 평역 : 푸른글 4339. 6. 28                                                                                                               The Gospel of Mary Magdalene has Taoist and Buddhist concepts presented in first century Christian Semantics. Jesus is quoted as saying that "All natures, all formed things, all creatures exist in and with one another and will again be resolved into their own roots, because the nature of matter is dissolved into the roots of its nature alone." 막달라 마리아 복음서는 도교나 불교의 개념들을 담고 있었던, 초기 기독교가 태동하던 시대의 모습을 잘 보여주고 있다. 이 복음서에서 예수는 이렇게 언급하고 있다. "천지 만물들과 형상을 지닌 모든 것들 그리고 생명을 가진 모든 것들은 서로 서로 더불어 살아가며 존재하고 있으며, 언젠가는 다시 그들 자신의 근원 속으로 녹아들어 가게 될 것이다.      왜냐하면 물질적 속성은 그 물질의 본성만이 홀로 존재하는 그 근원으로 들어갔을 때에만 녹아들어 사라질 수 있기 때문이다."   This is very similiar to the Taoist concept of Oneness as expressed in Chapter 34 of Tao Teh Ching, Speaking of the Tao it says "All things derive their life from it [Tao] All things return to it, and it contains them." 이 말은 도덕경 34장 속에 나오는 "만물은 도(道)로부터 생겨나고 다시 도(道)로 돌아간다. 그리고 도(道)는 그 모든 것을 포함한다." 라고 한 '하나됨' 이라는 개념과 매우 유사하다.   Another portion of The Gospel of Mary Magdalene describes a soul's journey after death and the challenges it overcomes. These passages are much like The Tibetan Book of the Dead which reveals the Peaceful and Wrathful Dieties a soul encounters during its journey after it has separated from the body at death. 막달라 마리아 복음서의 다른 부분에서는 죽은 뒤 영혼들의 여행과 그 영혼들이 극복해 나가는 도전들에 대해 언급하고 있다. 그리고 그 여행은 '티벳 사자의 서(書)' 에 나타나 있는, 죽은 후 몸으로부터 분리된 영혼이 여행하면서 겪게 되는 평화와 분노의 정화과정과 매우 비슷하다.    This is very similiar to this portion of the Gospel of Mary Magdalene, "When the soul had overcome the third power, it went upwards and saw the fourth power, (which) took seven forms. The first form is darkness, the second desire, the third ignorance, the fourth is the excitement of death, the fifth is the kingdom of the flesh, the sixth is the foolish wisdom of flesh, the seventh is the wrathful wisdom. These are the seven {powers} of wrath." 막달라 마리아 복음서의 이 부분이 바로 그 유사한 부분이다. "세 번째의 힘을 극복한 영혼이 위를 향해 나아가자, 영혼은 일곱 가지 형상들을 지닌 네 번째 힘을 보게 되었다.  그 첫 번째 모습은 어둠이요, 두 번째는 욕망이며, 세 번째는 무지이며, 네 번째는 죽음에 대한 동요(動搖)이며, 다섯 번째는 육신에 대한 집착이고, 여섯 번째는 어리석은 인간의 지식이며, 일곱 번째가 복수심에 대한 지식이더라. 이것들이 분노한 일곱 힘들이더라."                                                                                                                The Gospel According to Mary Magdalene 막달라 마리아의 복음서   Chapter 4 제 4 장   (Pages 1 to 6 of the manuscript, containing chapters 1 - 3, are lost.  The extant text starts on page 7...) 제1장부터 제3장까지가 들어있던 필사본의 1 페이지부터 6페이지까지는 분실되었다. 남아있는 문서는 7페이지부터 시작된다.   . . . Will matter then be destroyed or not? 그러면 물질이란 소멸되는 것입니까? 그렇지 않은 것입니까?   The Savior said, All nature, all formations, all creatures exist in and with one another, and they will be resolved again into their own roots. 구세주이신 예수께서 말씀하시기를 "천지 만물과 현상을 지닌 모든 것, 생명을 지닌 모든 것들은 서로 서로 더불어 살아가며 존재하고 있으며, 언젠가는 다시 그들 자신의 근원 속으로 녹아들어 가게 될 것이다.        For the nature of matter is resolved into the roots of its own nature alone. "왜냐하면 물질적 속성은 그 물질의 본성만이 홀로 존재하는 그 근원으로 들어갔을 때에만 녹아들어 사라질 수 있기 때문이다."   He who has ears to hear, let him hear.[cf. Matt. 11:15, etc.] 듣고자 하는 귀 가진 자들은, 들을지어다.   Peter said to him, Since you have explained everything to us, tell us this also: What is the sin of the world?[cf. John 1:29] 베드로가 예수께 말씀드리기를 "당신은 우리들에게 모든 것에 대해 설명해 주셨나이다. 그러하오니 우리에게 세상의 죄란 무엇인지에 대해서도 말씀해 주십시오."   The Savior said There is no sin, but it is you who make sin when you do the things that are like the nature of adultery, which is called sin. The Savior said, "Sin as such does not exist, but you make sin when you do what is of the nature of fornication, which is called 'sin.' 예수께서 말씀하셨다. "이 세상에 죄라는 것은 없다.  그렇지만 죄라고 불리워지고 있는 타락한 본성을 쫓아 일들을 행하면서 죄를 만드는 사람인 바로 너희가 있을 뿐이다.   That is why the Good came into your midst, to the essence of every nature in order to restore it to its root. "그리고 자신의 근원으로 향한 본성을 회복하기 위해 모든 만물의 힘의 정수(精髓)인 선량함이 너희 가운데로 들어오는 이유도 그와 같다."   Then He continued and said, That is why you become sick and die, for you are deprived of the one who can heal you. He went on to say, "For this reason you come into existence and die [...] whoever knows may know [...] a suffering which has nothing like itself, which has arisen out of what is contrary to nature. Then there arises a disturbance in the whole body. For this reason I said to you, Be of good courage [cf. Matt. 28:9], and if you are discouraged, still take courage over against the various forms of nature. He who has ears to hear, let him hear." 그리고 나서 예수께서 이어서 계속 말씀하셨다. "그것이 너희들이 병들고 죽게되는 이유이다. 왜냐하면 너희가 너희를 치유할 수 있는 '하나됨'에서 벗어났기 때문이다."   He who has a mind to understand, let him understand. 알아들을 마음을 가진 자들은 알아들을 지어다.   Matter gave birth to a passion that has no equal, which proceeded from something contrary to nature. Then there arises a disturbance in its whole body. 물질이란 얼마간은 자연에 반하는 방향으로 나아가게 하여 삶에 언제나 색다른 열정을 주지만  곧 그것은 자신의 온 몸 속에 혼란을 일으킨다.   That is why I said to you, Be of good courage,  and if you are discouraged be encouraged in the presence of the different forms of nature. 그것이 내가 너희에게 말하는 이유이다. 선량한 용기를 가지라. 그리고 만일 너희가 용기를 잃고 낙담하고 있다면 다양한 모습으로 존재하는 자연속에서 기운을 북돋우라.    He who has ears to hear, let him hear. 듣고자 하는 귀 가진 자들은, 들을지어다.   When the Blessed One had said this, He greeted them all, saying, Peace be with you.  Receive my peace unto yourselves. When the Blessed One said this, he greeted all of them, saying "Peace be with you [cf. John 14:27]. Receive my peace for yourselves. 이 말씀후 은총을 내리시는 분께서 제자들을 축복하며 말씀하시기를,  평화가 너희와 함께 하기를. 나의 평화가 그대안에 깃들기를.   Beware that no one lead you astray saying Lo here or lo there!  For the Son of Man is within you. Take heed lest anyone lead you astray with the words, 'Lo, here!' or 'Lo, there!' [cf. Matt. 24:5, 23; Luke 17:21] for the Son of Man is within you [cf. Luke 17:21]. 너희를 잘못된 길로 인도하려고 보라, (사람의 아들이) 여기에 있다, 저기에 있다! 이렇게 말하는 그 어떤 사람도 조심하라. 왜냐하면 사람의 아들은 너희 안에 있기 때문이다.   Follow after Him! 그 분을 따르라.   Those who seek Him will find Him. Follow him; those who seek him will find him [cf. Matt. 7:7]. Go, therefore, and preach the Gospel of the Kingdom [cf. Matt. 4:23; 9:15; Mark 16:15].  찾으려는 사람은 그 분을 찾을 수 있을 것이다.   Go then and preach the gospel of the Kingdom. 그리고 앞으로 나아가 하늘왕국의 복음을 널리 전하라.   Do not lay down any rules beyond what I appointed you, and do not give a law like the lawgiver lest you be constrained by it.
